हरियाणा में नवंबर 2016 के बाद होमगार्ड की सीधी भर्ती नहीं हुई। होमगार्ड विभाग में पक्के कर्मचारियों के खाली पदों पर 1990 के बाद पक्की भर्ती नहीं हुई। विभाग ने जनसंख्या के अनुसार होमगार्ड के 10000 नए पद सृजित करने की मांग भी सरकार से भेजी है। सरकार ने 15 हजार होमगार्ड को अस्पतालों में तैनात करने को मंजूरी दी है, जिन्हें तैनात करने की प्रक्रिया जल्द शुरू होगी। मौजूदा समय में हरियाणा में 12000 होमगार्ड कार्यरत है। हरियाणा पुलिस होम गार्ड भर्ती 2022 के लिए जल्द ही अधिसूचना जारी की जाएगी।
